Park and Recreation Master Plan

HWC completed a Park and Recreation Master Plan for the Town of Whitestown. The general purpose of the plan was to serve as a guide for decisions relating to the updating, improvement, and expansion of the parks and recreation department. Developing greenways to support walkability, providing natural and passive recreation facilities, providing staffing to support parks facilities, expanding youth sports, and developing a community center were a few system-wide goals that rose to the top during this planning process.

Park and Recreation Master Plan

HWC completed a Park and Recreation Master Plan for the City of New Albany. The planning process involved information gathering and data collection, a park facility tour, orchestrating a public survey, facility mapping, and operational analysis.  HWC worked closely with the parks board and parks staff to develop recommendations. Additionally, HWC provided mini park plans which illustrated sketch level design concepts for potential new park facilities. HWC is thrilled to be working with the city to implement several park amenities originating from this plan including a large riverfront recreation area.
